Boztek Remote Telemetry Solutions are based on the CV3100 RTU. The 3100 is proven technology with over 2500 units now in the field in varying applications since its inception a little over 10 years ago where series one was release as a mobile GSM unit later releasing series two for the CDMA network. Today the 3100 has grown to except many protocols and hardware by default with a variaty of wireless medium now being used to move remote data back to base.
System Features
- Available for GSM and Next-G mobile and Satellite networks.
- Full two-way web and SMS access for monitoring and control from mobile phone or PC.
- Data sent by email or web for continuous data transfer
- Next-G or GPRS (GSM) options available.
- Integrated controller, modem, power supply, relays and isolated inputs.
- Includes web and PC-based configuration and monitoring software.
- Low power operation – engineered for solar applications.
- Custom interfaces available for specialised devices, e.g.:Composite temperature /humidity/dewpoint sensor.
- Rain gauge, wind speed and direction, and soil moisture sensors - Davis and Vaisala Weather Stations
- Optional on-board GPS.
Controller Specifications
- Equipment can be started or stopped remotely and analogue setpoints can be set by web or SMS commands.
- Alarms can be sent to any mobile phone(s) via SMS, or to any PC via the web.
- On-board switch-mode power supply can accept unregulated 7-40V DC in.
- 8 x Optically isolated digital inputs (expandable on-board to 16 in) can accept signals of up to 48 V DC.
- 2 x Analogue inputs @ 0-10 V.
- 4 x Relay outputs (expandable on-board to 8 out), each capable of switching 5A at 240V AC.
- Data logging – can store up to 12,000 events, depending on model**:
- An “event” is any (digital) equipment start, stop, alarm, etc, or any logged analog values.
- Analogues can be programmed to log on time period, conditional upon minimum % change.
- ** Model Standard capacity = 2,000 events.
- ** Model Expander capacity = 12,000 events.
- Other models available with removable flash storage media.
- Communications (factory options):
- “Pass-through” port, configurable as RS232, RS485 or SDI.
- Two-way translation between Modbus protocol and SMS, for direct interface to industrial controllers.
- Power consumption in stand-by, with modem powered off, approx. 30 mA
- Operating temperature: -25 to +70C
- Humidity 5-95% non-condensing
- Enclosure Dimensions: 195mm x 125mm x 50mm approx.
Advanced Features
- • HTTP interface for web-enabled peripherals.
- • On-board event log – logged data can be displayed graphically.
- • Configurable “watchdog” function to confirm system operation.
- • Communications “pass through” option – your SCADA software can share the on-site mobile modem.
- • Cross dependency of inputs e.g. “pressure fault only examined if pump is running for 30 sec.”
- • Relay outputs can be controlled by SMS, programmed sequence, and directly from alarm inputs.
- • Versatile software control, including “one-touch” remote activation of complete control sequences.
- • Optical isolation of digital inputs – wide input range.
- • Digital inputs can be configured as pulse-count totalisers or proportional frequency inputs.
- • Optional ultra-low power digital radio link between modules (up to 5km, depending on terrain).
